Valheim 1.0 is supported — and we have added new features to the game panel
Thank you for using BESTNET-GSERVER.
We now support the Valheim full release, 1.0 (Deep North), published on 9 September 2026. Simply restart your server from the game panel and it is applied; your world data and settings carry over unchanged. There is no extra charge and nothing extra to set up.
Steam updates the game (client) automatically, so until you restart the server you will see a version mismatch and will not be able to join. Please restart at your earliest convenience.
We have also added the following to the game panel
- World modifiers — you can now change world settings such as combat difficulty, the death penalty, resource amounts and raid frequency from the Startup screen. There is no need to edit config files by hand. Your existing world is kept as it is, and no new world is created.
- Connection details at startup — every time the server starts, the console now shows a summary at the top: the address, the join password, the world name and more. When someone cannot find the join password, the answer is right there.
- The join code is saved to a file — the six-digit join code is now also written to
valheim_joincode.txt, which you can open at any time from the file manager.
These have been rolled out to every server, and become available once you restart yours.
Please note
- Restarting issues a new join code. Please pass the new code to the people you play with.
- The world save format has changed. The migration happens automatically the first time the server saves, and your previous files are kept under a different name. No action is needed on your side.
- If you use mods, disable your mods and BepInEx before updating. Most mods stop working at 1.0.
The available settings and the steps are covered in Valheim — First-Time Setup. For what the service includes, see Valheim dedicated servers.
Thank you for your continued support of BESTNET-GSERVER.
