Server hosting

Arma Reforger

Dedicated server hosting for Arma Reforger.
Automatic setup after ordering, direct config file editing and backups.
It follows Steam updates automatically, so there is next to no maintenance on your side.

The number of concurrent players is set by you on the “Startup” tab of the game panel.
How many play comfortably depends on the mission, the mods you run and each player’s connection.

TRANSPARENCY

Ending confusing pricing practices.

The game server hosting industry widely employs unclear pricing practices.
We refuse to accept this standard.

Common industry practices

Confusing pricing

  • Bargain first month, skyrocket next month Discounts like “50% off first month” make the base price look low, then rates multiply several times afterward.
  • Forced long-term prepayment Advertised as “¥XXX/month” but that rate only applies when paying 12 months upfront—monthly billing costs significantly more.
  • First-year pricing displayed prominently “First-year special” or “campaign pricing” is highlighted, while second-year rates and auto-renewal price changes are hidden.
  • Cancellation fees and minimum terms Discounted contracts include early termination penalties, making it hard to leave when your needs change.
  • Auto-renewal trap Auto-renewed at the discounted rate initially, but you wake up to find yourself charged 2-3x the regular price.
Our commitment

Clear and transparent pricing

  • Listed price = price you pay The monthly price shown on this page keeps applying as-is. There are no hidden increases.
  • Monthly billing, no lock-in Simple monthly-only pricing. No annual contracts or long-term lock-in.
  • Clear total pricing We show both tax-excluded and tax-included amounts, so you see exactly what you’ll pay before ordering.
  • No cancellation fees · No minimum term When your needs change, cancel anytime. We never charge early termination fees.
  • Prorated plan changes Upgrade or downgrade with prorated billing only. No need to “go big just in case.”

PAYMENT

We don’t store your card number.

Payments are processed by PayPal, Square and Stripe.

We never store your full card number

For card payments, the card number itself is held by our payment processor (Stripe), which is PCI DSS compliant. All we keep is the brand, last 4 digits and expiry date to identify the card, plus an encrypted token used for recurring billing.

We never store your security code

With any payment method, we never store your card’s security code (CVV / CVC).

3-D Secure supported

Stripe card payments support 3-D Secure, your card issuer’s cardholder authentication. VISA / Mastercard / JCB / American Express are accepted.

Here is exactly how each payment method is handled.

Stripe card payment (recurring; 3-D Secure supported)
The card number itself is stored securely by our payment processor (Stripe), which is PCI DSS compliant. We do not keep the full card number on our servers — only the brand, last 4 digits and expiry date to identify the card, plus an encrypted payment token used for recurring billing. Subsequent charges are processed with that token.
PayPal (recurring)
With PayPal recurring payments, your card details are stored neither on our servers nor by our payment processor. All we keep is the billing-agreement ID issued by PayPal and billing information such as the next charge date and amount. Your funding source (PayPal balance, linked bank account, linked card, and so on) stays entirely within your PayPal account.
Square (one-time)
Square payments are one-time only. Recurring billing is not supported, and we never store any information used for future charges (card details, tokens, and so on). To keep your service running, please complete the payment again at each renewal.
Cancel or remove a payment method at any time
You can remove or change a stored payment method from the client portal at any time (for PayPal, you can cancel automatic payments from the “Automatic payments” settings in your PayPal account). If you would like your service to stop renewing, please submit a cancellation request (“End of billing period”) from the client portal. There are no cancellation fees and no minimum term.

We issue an invoice about one week before the due date and email it to your registered address. For full details see Payment methods for usage fees →.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The unglamorous work of staying online.

Our servers are housed in a data centre with the following facilities.

HOW DATA TRAVELS Player Line A Line B Redundant network (2 routes) Game server Spare units included Storage Spread across NVMe SSDs (Ceph) HOW POWER TRAVELS Mains power Normal operation UPS (battery backup) N+1: one more than needed On-site generator For longer outages Powers the serversIf one part stops, another path or another unit takes over.
Redundant servers

Equipment is run with spares in place, so a single hardware failure does not take the service down.

Redundant storage (Ceph · NVMe)

Your data is held across multiple NVMe SSDs. If one drive fails, the data is not lost.

Redundant network

There is more than one route to the internet, so traffic keeps flowing even if one path goes down.

UPS with N+1

Battery units keep the power on during an outage, and we keep one more unit than strictly required — so power continues even if a unit fails.

On-site generator

For longer outages there is a generator on site. It takes over while the UPS bridges the gap.

Keeping your server online is the priority — starting with the facilities it runs on.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How soon after signing up can I use the server?
Your server is built automatically once payment clears. It is usually ready within a few minutes to a few tens of minutes, and we email you when setup finishes.
For how the game panel works, see Logging into the game panel and feature overview.
The steps through to connecting are covered in Arma Reforger – Initial Setup.
How many players can I have at once?
The player limit is a value you set yourself on the “Startup” tab of the game panel — we do not cap it on our side.
How many play comfortably varies a lot with the mission, the mods you load and each player’s connection. For a busy always-on server or a heavy mod list we recommend a plan with more memory and vCPU.
How many ports do I get?
Every plan comes with two ports (one for the game, one for queries) allocated as standard. You can see the assigned port numbers on the “Network” tab of the game panel.
Can I use mods?
To add mods, just enter the Workshop mod IDs as a comma-separated list on the “Startup” tab. They are downloaded and applied automatically at start-up.
Whether a particular mod works depends on the game and on how that mod is built, so we cannot guarantee individual mods.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade anytime from your client portal. Your server data is preserved, and we bill only the difference.
Steps are at Game Server Upgrade/Downgrade Guide.
What payment methods do you accept?
Self-service online payment is available through PayPal, Square and Stripe (credit card). For any other payment method, please ask us via a support ticket. Your server builds automatically once payment clears.
See full details at Payment Methods.
How do I cancel or unsubscribe?
Please submit a cancellation request from the client portal. There is no minimum contract term or cancellation fee. Monthly plans run to the end of the billing month.
See How to Cancel Game Server Services for instructions.
Are prices including or excluding tax?
All large price displays on this page are excluding tax, with the tax-included amount (10% consumption tax) shown below. This aligns with our other services (cloud/VPS/GPU, etc.). You’ll be charged the tax-included amount at payment.
Can I restore from a backup?
Yes. One click on the Backup tab of the game panel restores your data. Arma Reforger keeps 10 to 30 backup generations depending on your plan. If you set up scheduled backups, the oldest one is replaced once the limit is reached.
For the detailed steps, see Arma Reforger – Restoring from a Backup.
What happens when Arma Reforger is updated?
Our server template is set to pull the latest build from Steam on start-up, so your server stays current after a game update. You can change this behaviour from the “Startup” tab in the game panel.
