The game-server hosting industry is full of pricing practices that are hard to understand.

INFRASTRUCTURE
The unglamorous work of staying online.
Our servers are housed in a data centre with the following facilities.
Equipment is run with spares in place, so a single hardware failure does not take the service down.
Your data is held across multiple NVMe SSDs. If one drive fails, the data is not lost.
There is more than one route to the internet, so traffic keeps flowing even if one path goes down.
Battery units keep the power on during an outage, and we keep one more unit than strictly required — so power continues even if a unit fails.
For longer outages there is a generator on site. It takes over while the UPS bridges the gap.
PAYMENT
We don’t store your card number.
Payments are processed by PayPal, Square and Stripe.
For card payments, the card number itself is held by our payment processor (Stripe), which is PCI DSS compliant. All we keep is the brand, last 4 digits and expiry date to identify the card, plus an encrypted token used for recurring billing.
With any payment method, we never store your card’s security code (CVV / CVC).
Stripe card payments support 3-D Secure, your card issuer’s cardholder authentication. VISA / Mastercard / JCB / American Express are accepted.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

The main updates to our HumanitZ dedicated servers.
We continuously improve our HumanitZ dedicated servers to provide a more comfortable and stable environment.
We strengthened the way server settings changed in the panel are applied to the game. Changes such as the server name, the password and the gameplay balance take effect right after a restart.
We added a step that reads the settings back after writing them and checks them against what was intended. If a write does not finish, the half-written state is not applied and the previous settings are kept as they were. This keeps the server from starting with a damaged settings file.
When the game adds or changes settings on its side, the server now follows the latest settings format automatically. You do not need to rebuild your settings after every update.
PvP, experience multipliers, zombie strength and spawn counts, season and day/night length, weather, supply rarity, base decay, vehicle limits and more — 87 items can be configured from the control panel.
We introduced a mechanism that automatically backs up the settings file on every start and keeps a number of generations.
See improvements from August 2026 onwards
HumanitZ is updated to the latest version automatically when the server restarts. On top of that, a mechanism that detects and repairs inconsistencies in the server files keeps operation stable.
Alongside the game’s version updates, we improved how reliably the control panel detects that a server has finished starting.
We added automatic assignment of the ports used for the game, for server search and for administration. You do not need to set port numbers yourself.

Do you support languages other than Japanese?
I cannot find my server in the server list
In that case we recommend setting a dedicated Search ID.
1. Open your server in the control panel and go to Startup
2. Change SEARCH_ID to any string that is unlikely to clash with others (letters and numbers recommended)
3. Save, then stop the server completely and start it again
4. On the game’s server list screen, type that string into the Search ID field on the right and search
This lets you find your own server reliably.
* Once a dedicated Search ID is set, your server no longer appears in the default list and is found with the Search ID instead.
