Valheim
Dedicated server hosting for Valheim.
A world up to 10 of you can always come back to.
Crossplay is supported. Players on PC (Steam / Microsoft Store / Game Pass) and on Xbox can gather on the same server.
Built automatically after you order, no port forwarding, and you choose both the backup interval and how many to keep.
The 10-player limit comes from the game itself.
PRICING
Pricing Plans
We offer monthly plans. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time with prorated billing.
Standard
For your first world
- 4 GB Memory
- 30 GB NVMe SSD
- 2 vCPU cores
- Backup: 3 generations
Plus
For a world you have played in for a long time
- 8 GB Memory
- 60 GB NVMe SSD
- 3 vCPU cores
- Backup: 10 generations
Which one should I choose?
Both plans hold up to 10 players. That limit comes from the game itself, so it does not differ by plan. What differs is memory and how many backups are kept.
- Standard — for a world you are just starting. 4 GB of memory, 3 backup generations.
- Plus — for a world you have played in for a long time, where you have explored a wide area. In Valheim, the more of the map has been explored, the more data the server has to hold. 8 GB of memory and 10 backup generations give that room.
You can switch later while keeping your world, with prorated billing. Starting on Standard and moving to Plus once it starts to feel heavy is a perfectly good way to go.
All prices are shown excluding tax (tax-included prices in brackets). The price you see is the price you pay.
There are no setup fees, minimum terms or cancellation fees.
The game itself (Valheim) is not included — please obtain it separately.
TRANSPARENCY
Putting an end to confusing pricing.
The game-server hosting industry is full of pricing practices that are hard to understand.
We refuse to accept that.
Confusing pricing
-
✗Cheap first month, then a sharp jump Discounts like “50% off the first month” make the monthly price look low, then it multiplies from the second month.
-
✗Forced long-term prepayment A “¥xxx/mo” headline that only applies with a 12-month upfront payment, while paying monthly costs far more.
-
✗First-year-only discounted pricing “First-year price” or “campaign price” is shown prominently, hiding the regular price from year two and the change at auto-renewal.
-
✗Cancellation fees & minimum terms With a discount applied, cancelling within the term incurs a penalty, making it hard to leave even when your setup changes.
-
✗The auto-renewal trap It auto-renews from the intro price, and before you know it you’re billed the regular price (sometimes 2–3×).
Clear, transparent pricing
-
✓Listed price = price you pay The monthly price shown on this page keeps applying as-is. There are no hidden increases.
-
✓Monthly billing, no lock-in Simple monthly-only pricing. No annual contracts or long-term lock-in.
-
✓Clear total pricing We show both tax-excluded and tax-included prices, so you can clearly confirm what you’ll actually pay before ordering.
-
✓No cancellation fee, no minimum term Cancel anytime when your setup changes. We never charge a penalty.
-
✓Prorated up/downgrades Plan changes settle only the difference. No need to “just pick the bigger plan to be safe.”
INFRASTRUCTURE
The unglamorous work of staying online.
Our servers are housed in a data centre with the following facilities.
Equipment is run with spares in place, so a single hardware failure does not take the service down.
Your data is held across multiple NVMe SSDs. If one drive fails, the data is not lost.
There is more than one route to the internet, so traffic keeps flowing even if one path goes down.
Battery units keep the power on during an outage, and we keep one more unit than strictly required — so power continues even if a unit fails.
For longer outages there is a generator on site. It takes over while the UPS bridges the gap.
PAYMENT
We don’t store your card number.
Payments are processed by PayPal, Square and Stripe.
For card payments, the card number itself is held by our payment processor (Stripe), which is PCI DSS compliant. All we keep is the brand, last 4 digits and expiry date to identify the card, plus an encrypted token used for recurring billing.
With any payment method, we never store your card’s security code (CVV / CVC).
Stripe card payments support 3-D Secure, your card issuer’s cardholder authentication. VISA / Mastercard / JCB / American Express are accepted.
Here is exactly how each payment method is handled.
Stripe card payment (recurring; 3-D Secure supported)
PayPal (recurring)
Square (one-time)
Cancel or remove a payment method at any time
We issue an invoice about one week before the due date and email it to your registered address. For full details see Payment methods for usage fees →.
FEATURES
Service Features
Every plan includes the following features as standard.
Crossplay is supported
Our servers run with crossplay enabled. Players on PC (Steam / Microsoft Store / Game Pass) and on Xbox can gather on the same server. See the first-time setup guide for how to join.
Automatic provisioning
Your server is built and set up automatically after you order.
No port setup required
The ports a Valheim server needs are assigned automatically when your server is built. You never have to look up a port number or configure forwarding.
Your server name is already in place
The server name you set in the game panel is used as the server’s own name. After boot, your friends can find it by that name.
A join password generated for your server alone
A join password unique to your server is generated automatically on first boot. The same password is never reused across servers. You can read it from the file screen in the game panel.
Backs up the world, not the game
A backup contains only your world data and settings. The game itself (about 2 GB) can be fetched again when needed, so it is excluded up front — which means keeping many generations costs you little space.
Never handed over half-finished
During the build we verify the files we fetched, and start over automatically if anything is missing. A server is never handed over in a half-finished state.
Choose the backup interval and how many to keep
You can change how often your world is backed up and how many are kept, from the settings in the game panel. Frequent recent saves and a longer-spaced set of older ones can each have their own interval.
High performance
All hardware is built from durable, server-grade components. If you outgrow your specs, you can easily upgrade while keeping your data.
One-Click Server Optimization
Even at peak times, move to a server with more headroom yourself in one click. World data and settings carry over. Learn more →
Monitoring for stutter
We continuously monitor how each server behaves and detect early signs of rubber-banding (stutter). What we find feeds back into how we size and design resources, so play stays smooth.
DDoS protection
The game servers are protected by a system that defends against DDoS attacks. We provide a stable game-server environment.
Fast & multilingual support
Our Japanese engineers provide prompt support. Multilingual support via a dedicated ticket system (AI translation: Korean / Chinese / English).
File browser
Edit and upload the server’s configuration files right from the game panel. File management steps →
Backups
Store 3–10 generations of backups depending on your plan, and restore easily from the game panel. Backup and restore steps →
FTP access
FTP access is supported, so migrating from another host or moving files can be done efficiently. How to connect over FTP →
Easy upgrade / downgrade
Upgrade or downgrade in minutes while keeping your server data. Billing is prorated, so it even fits needs like temporarily bumping specs for a one-off event. See the steps →
Multi-user server management
From the game panel, register a friend’s email address and grant them access. Permissions are flexible — limit them narrowly or grant full admin rights. See how to share access →
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
You can enable two-factor authentication in the game panel. Manage your server securely. How to enable 2FA →

Can I change the backup interval and how many are kept?
Can I restore from a backup?
How often should I take backups? Are short intervals (such as every 15 minutes) a bad idea?
Also, the number of stored backups is limited per plan (3-10 generations), and scheduled automatic backups rotate out the oldest ones automatically. With short intervals, only the last few tens of minutes of generations remain, which works against you in the crucial “I want to go back to a few days ago” moment. With one backup per day, you keep generations reaching back days to weeks (for details, see the KB section “Automatically manage backup versions (Schedule)”).
What time zone are schedules (e.g., auto-restart) based on?
What time zone do the servers use? Can it be changed?
Note: In July 2026 we standardized the platform clock to Japan time. Servers created before then will switch to JST display after their next restart.
