How to Join a Soulmask Server

This page is for people joining a Soulmask server. There are three ways to join.

First of all

If you want to rent and set up a server of your own, see Soulmask - First-time setup. This page is for the other side: joining someone else's server.
It goes more smoothly if you check the following with the server's admin in advance.
  • The server name (you use it to search the list)
  • Whether there is a join password (if there is, you will be asked for it when you join)

Method 1: Search the in-game server list

This is the easiest way.
  1. Launch Soulmask.
  2. Open the server list (server browser).
  3. Type the server name into the search box and search.
  4. Select the server you find and join. If a join password is set, you enter it here.
A server that has only just started can take a few minutes to appear in the list. If you cannot find it, wait a little and search again.

Method 2: Add it to your Steam favorites

If searching every time is a chore, you can register the server in your Steam server list.
  1. Open the Steam client and choose "View" → "Game Servers" from the menu.
  2. Open the "Favorites" tab and press "Add a Server".
  3. Enter the address your server admin gave you, in the form IP address:port number.
What you register is the query port, not the game port. The query port is the game port +1.
Example: if the game port is 203.0.113.25:28100, what you register in Steam is 203.0.113.25:28101.
If you are the server admin, you can check how the ports line up in The ports are already set up.

Method 3: Connect directly with an invite code or address

Servers run on an invite-only basis can be joined with an invite code. Ask the admin for the invite code.
  1. Launch Soulmask.
  2. Choose [Online Game].
  3. Choose [Private Server].
  4. Paste the code you were given into the invite code field.
